Artist Bio
Imani Paris Wilson is originally from Flint, Michigan. She is currently a senior at The University of the Arts in the BFA dance program, graduating class of 2021. Who always endeavors to tell a personal narrative through art and performance. Leaving powerful impressions through numerous solos & collaborative projects. She has studied under the Flint institute of performing arts from the ages of 8 to 17.
She’s performed in productions nationally and internationally such as The Nutcracker (2008-2016), Flint, MI; Wizard of Oz Musical at the Whiting Auditorium (2010), Flint MI; Imani has attended Michigan Youth Arts Festival annually( 2014-2016), Kalamazoo, MI. Imani has also had her student work performed at Michigan youth arts. She’s participated in the Tanzsommer Summer Festival (2015), Austria; Dance Theatre of Harlem summer intensive (2016), New York; Collage Dance Collective summer intensive(2016), Memphis, TN; and a collaboration of the work “1,000 Gestures/Musée de la danse” with Boris Charmatz, Philadelphia, PA.
